I bought these sheers to provide a little privacy for our large living room window. I first bought the natural shade for the sliding glass door to our deck - like them so much, I bought the cream for the living room. These sheers have great texture (not fine linen, but not burlap, either), so they provide a nice look to the window. Popped them into the dryer with a damp dryer sheet to straighen and freshen, and they were ready to hang. Contemporary choice for sheers, not doily or formal.

I ordered these sheer panels to help brighten up a dining room with dark wood floor and furniture. The fabric looks like "gauze" and was not what I expected. Once they were hung, they look beautiful and I'm very happy with my selection. A perfect way to frame the bay window without blocking out the light. Not sure how they'll look in the middle of winter but for now - perfect.

Because there's no photo showing the texture of the curtains I was also surprised when I opened the package, as other reviewers have said. The description should be more specific than simply "linen", as that covers a broad range of weave densities. In my case, even though I love the exotic quality of the irregular, slubby weave it's not suitable for the decor in this case, so I'll have to return them. I'd like to have been able to upload my photo so others could benefit from it, but HPD doesn't offer that feature, unfortunately.

I like the sheers and have them hung with my curtains; however, I thought the weave might be a little tighter since it said linen. To me it looks more like a gauze than linen but still dressy enough for the dining room.

These sheer curtains look very natural and organic.I have bought 10 of them month ago. I have risked to gently hand wash one of them, let it dry in room temperature. It did not shrink at all. I used steamer after I hang them. The small imperfections on the seams are not very visible. These curtains hang in pentagon nook room with western exposure. When the sun shines through them they look even nicer.

I have been looking for a casual and airy to go with my bamboo blinds in my living room. After buying 1 test panel, I am very pleased and will be buying the remaining panels needed. These panels are a true cream color that provide a casual look and have an interesting texture to them. These are similar to a gauze-type of look, delicate, and most importantly to me, are not predictable like most sheer curtains. These curtains are not made to be for privacy, hence the open weave so keep that in mind. Although these are delicate, these curtains will not fall apart. My panel arrived in 3 days, was very well packaged, and I am very happy with my order.

They are definetly an OPEN weave which is what I was looking for in linen. When I opened the box, I was nervous that the weave was too thin or large, however, after hanging - they are perfect. Gave our bdrm the look I wanted - rich yet organic.

Love these sheers since the texture is rich and interesting. But so do my cats! The linen snags when the cats are at play.

These are great for staging a tropical ambience. We wanted something beachey in our new Floridian guest bath and two of these panels in the shower/bath were exactly what we were looking for. We found a tenion rod at a home goods store ($15), placed it above the usual height, and let these drape gently onto the floor. When we have guests we'll pop another fabric shower liner up. As other reviewers wrote, these truly are sheer and gauzy - think gauze bandage like. If that's what you're searching for, you'll be as pleased as we are.

We bought these for our living room in 108 length cream. They are made from a beautiful linen, and I never noticed any smell. If there was one, it wasn't significant at all. I would absolutely purchase again, and may do so, for other rooms in the house. They are awesome.

This panel is gorgeous... exactly as described, an open weave. Yes, it resembles gauze like other reviewers mentioned... just perfect for nautical/beachy/maritime decorating. I used mine in our guest bedroom. I hung up at the celing, perpendicular to the wall on either side of my guest room bed. I used antique metal tie backs... SO LUXURIOUS!

I was somewhat guarded ordering these panels after reading some of the reviews. Decided to go ahead an order and was very pleased when they arrived. The color was exactly as shown and unlike other reviews, I found the linen open weave to be perfect for the room. I bought 2 panels and both were without flaws.

beautiful casual elegance added to the room. Open weave allows filtered light with a slight bit of privacy. Fabric looks more warm and inviting, but classier than sheers

These are fine, I had the off white double layer sheer panel, and just loved those but the color was a little bit too yellow. These are ok, they work but I preferred the material of the others.

These are exactly what I was looking for...sheer but with a natural texture. The Color is a creamy white, not yellow, not stark white. The stitching was a little uneven on ends or else I would have given it a 5. Could not find anything like these anywhere except ** and they were $$$ a panel. Great deal on HPD I paid a fraction of that.

A very nice, open weave sheer if you are going for a beachy, casual look. I purchased because I wasn't quite sure what to expect and thought the linen would be elegant. Turns out they are a bit too casual. I also realized they are dry clean only and with two cats going in and out of the sliding glass door all day, I need something machine washable.

If you are looking for beautiful curtains that will filter the bright sun and give a warm feeling to the room, these linen open weave curtains are perfect. I bought the natural color and love them! The open weave make them very elegant and classy and are perfect in my office!

I purchased six of these curtain panels to replace the white polyester sheers that were hanging in my family room. I was looking for something in a natural fiber, that was off-white, and that would filter out some (not all ) light. Also, since the curtains in my room are tied back, they are mostly used for decorative purposes, so they had to look attractive. Overall, these curtains fit the bill. The weave is very much an open weave (think gauze), but they work for me, in this room. They drape beautifully and look very organic. If you are looking for a tighter, more formal look, these curtains might not be for you. I only gave it a good (as opposed to excellent) because I though that HPD could have offered these at a lower price.

It got the look I am looking for. But it's not very well made. One panel is about 2 inches longer than the other. The stitches are too tight. Overall, It works.

These are great organic airy, very sheer natural looking curtains that look high end. I used them with curtain rings to create a draped airy look and paired them with the signature pearl white textured silk curtain and they go fantastic together! I'm very pleased with these curtain. They are a neutral cream linen color.

The linen has a nice natural texture and the color is true neutral. The weave is very loose and these are very sheer. I bought these for the guest bedroom with sunny south-facing windows that face a taller building across the street. I wanted the sunlight but have privacy, so, I used two layers of sheers and that achieved the right balance. The under-layer of sheers is a tighter weave of linen that I already had, and I put these new sheers over that.

Had a number of sheers from different stores to try in my window location. I ordered these just on a whim, figuring they wouldn't work either.. they ended up being the EXACT type I was looking for... and came in two colors that worked perfect for me in my master bath and my living room. I was pleasantly surprised.

searched for this type of fabric in all the high end fabric shops - to no avail. I wanted a tropical look in a natural fabric - and this it. The color is cream and the look is very close to gauze - or mosquito netting. Gorgeous! Not sure how these will hold up - they're delicate - but the look is fabulous.
