You don’t want high maintenance, frilly curtains, yet you don’t want your windows to be totally open to the world. Invest in shorter curtains

Generally speaking, we recommend curtains that are hung from just below your ceiling to the floor. In fact, we often recommend pooling curtains on the floor. These tips are not going to please a minimalist. Instead, you may want curtains that start at the top of the window and go just below it. Stick with a solid and neutral color

If all else fails, just pick up some curtains in a color that’s both solid and neutral. This may be a khaki color it may be gray. You can choose a color that you like the best or the color you think will stand out the least. The choice is yours.
