Use ceramics in your home

Some of the best ways to get ready for summer including bringing a bit of the outdoors in. That can mean adding plants and flowers, but it can also mean bringing in earthy tones. A great way to do that is through ceramics, earthenware, or tile. Consider incredible dinnerware, backsplashes, or terracotta pots.

Bring out the white linens

White linen is not only in style but it’s also a great reminder of summer. You can add white linen slipcovers to your couch, pillows, etc., you can add linen tablecloths to your indoor and outdoor dining areas, and you can invest in cool, cozy white linen curtains. In fact, you can add linen in every room from the kitchen to the bathroom, and use it in everything from place mats to dinner napkins. Once again, it’s a great way to bring natural fabrics into your home. Green reminds us all of summer Green is the it-color this year, which once again works perfectly with summarizing your home. You can incorporate green in simple, subtle ways like taking a glass jar and filling it with a leaf-covered branch, or you can add plants all around your home. Plants of course aren’t the only way to bring green in – and aren’t a good choice for those with seasonal allergies. Instead, you can add table wear, rugs, napkins, etc. in fresh, green colors.

Weave in some woven textures

If you really want to bring summer into your home, remember that it’s not just about how things look – it’s about textures too. When many people think of summer, they think of woven textures on things like wicker rocking chairs or rattan chairs. If you don’t want anything this dramatic, consider a hurricane lamp wrapped in rattan. This is a simple, affordable way to bring summer in while adding some cool lighting too.
