Custom Curtains & Drapes

Designer-quality curtains made to your exact window dimensions. HPD custom curtains span velvet, faux silk, faux linen, cotton, and linen in every opacity level — with your choice of up to 10 header styles, 4 lining options, and any length you need.

Ready-made curtains are designed around standard window sizes. Custom curtains are designed around yours. Every HPD custom panel is handcrafted to the exact width and length you specify — no hemming, no compromise, no hoping the standard size works out.

Our custom range spans seven fabric families: velvet (Signature, Heritage Plush, Designer), faux silk (Jacquard, Taffeta, Dupioni), faux linen (Textured, Heavy, Italian, Designer, Performance), cotton (Printed, Solid, Woven, Dune), linen (French Linen), silk (Thai Silk), and essential blended. Each fabric family offers distinct character — from the dense, directional pile of velvet to the organic warmth of faux linen to the luminous sheen of faux silk.

Every custom panel includes your choice of header style (up to 10 options depending on fabric) and lining (unlined through to 100% Hotel Blackout Backing on select fabrics). Weighted hems and quality construction are standard. Free swatches let you confirm your fabric and color before committing to a custom order.

What fabrics and collections are available for custom curtains?

HPD custom curtains span seven fabric families — velvet, faux silk, faux linen, cotton, linen, silk, and essential blended. Each family includes named line collections with distinct characters: Signature Velvet for sleek contemporary, Heritage Plush for deep traditional, French Linen for authentic natural fiber, Vintage Dupioni Faux Silk for slubbed iridescent character, Printed Cotton for bold pattern, and more. All are available in custom sizes to your exact specifications.

What header styles are available for custom curtains?

Up to 10 header styles are available depending on the fabric — Pole Pocket, Pole Pocket with Back Tabs, Pole Pocket with Hook Belt, Pole Pocket with Hook Belt & Back Tabs, Deluxe Tab Top, Tie-Top, Grommets, French Pleat, Goblet Pleat, Parisian Pleat, and Inverted Pleat. Each creates a distinctly different look and hanging method. The specific headers available vary by collection and are listed on each product page.

What lining options are available?

Most custom curtains offer four lining options: Unlined (preserves the natural drape and sheerness of the face fabric), Lined (clean finish, moderate privacy, limited insulation), Lined & Interlined (cotton flannel interlining for body, insulation, and moderate light control), and Blackout Lining (100% light blockage when properly installed). Select Performance Linen panels come with Hotel Blackout Backing (100% light blockage) as a fixed option.

How do I measure for custom curtains?

For rod pocket, back tab, and tab top headers, measure from the top of the rod to your desired floor endpoint. For grommet headers, measure from the bottom of the ring to the floor — grommets hang below the rod, reducing effective length by 1–2 inches. For hook belt, French Pleat, Goblet, Parisian, and Inverted Pleat headers, measure from the hook to the floor. Adding an extra ½ inch to your measurement is recommended to allow for floor variance across wider windows.

What rooms and interior styles do custom curtains suit?

Custom curtains suit every room in the home — the precision of made-to-measure sizing makes them particularly valuable for rooms where standard sizing creates visible compromises. Bedrooms benefit from the exact light control that custom blackout panels provide. Living rooms and dining rooms gain a finished, intentional look when panels reach exactly the right floor point. Home offices, nurseries, and sunrooms all benefit from fabric and lining choices tailored to the room's specific needs. Stylistically custom curtains are available across every aesthetic — from contemporary and Scandinavian to maximalist, traditional, Art Deco, and transitional — with the fabric choice driving the style direction.
