Great blackout curtain. I have been working both night and day shifts, but because my job will soon be exclusively nights I desperately needed a window dressing for my bedroom that was stylish and eliminated the bright daytime sunshine. The quality seems to be good (heavy suede, nicely lined) and the slate grey color blends nicely with my existing color scheme. Do be aware that this curtain is sold as one panel, not a pair. I am going to order my second panel now.

These are great heavy curtains - perfect for my informal living room. Purchased four panels with an O area rug - look lovely together. Will try a steaming them - as other reviewers have said the wrinkles don't resolve by hanging- at least not here in arid Colorado.

This really is the best web site to find window coverings. We have purchased 5 different window treatments and all of them were top in quality, construction and color. They arrived within a reasonable amount of time and met our expectations (again). half price drapes also has excellent customer service. This is always my first stop shopping destination.

A little bit bummed that these aren't complete black out drapes, especially with the price at over a hundred PER panel. Bought these for my toddler's room to replace old black out drapes and was disappointed that the sun still shines through slightly (can see the outline of the window from the front of the drapes) and I still need to put blinds or a black out roller shade behind the blinds so the room is black out for my daughter. Aside from that, they are pretty and heavy and feel like good quality. They do need to be steamed and there are grommet marks left from how they were packed during shipping. Keep in mind the cost is per panel.

These are good quality curtains with a beautiful look and nice heavy feel to the fabric. They hang well and the color is great. However, they are not 100% blackout, more of a room-darkening fabric. I have them on an east-facing window and the morning sun still lights up the room pretty well even through the liner. For me it's an issue, as someone super-sensitive to light when trying to sleep. Also, this is my own fault but I didn't realize that curtains with a grommet style for hanging will allow tons of light to come in above the curtains wherever they pocket out from the wall, even when hung right up near the ceiling. I ended up putting another cheaper set of blackout curtains under them to really cut the light. So if you are looking for total 100% blackout these are not the curtains for you. But otherwise they are beautiful, they look good open or closed and have a nice quality to the fabric. If you just want a somewhat darker room they are great.

These velvet curtains feel soft and rich--very UNlike the ones I got previously from XXXX XXX. I'm not crazy about the beige blackout liner, but that's a small quibble. The only other issue is that there's a mark left on the panels from the grommets--obviously the grommets weighed heavily on the velvet while they were folded in the package. A piece of tissue kept the grommets from touching the fabric directly in the package, but they still made an impression on it. Maybe this will disappear in time, or perhaps by some miracle I'll find time to iron the curtains and the marks will disappear. Anyway, overall these are great curtains and I highly recommend them for the price!

I saw these on half price drapes and knew I would like them even though they were more money than I wanted to spend. Trust me when I say they are worth the money. The color is a very soft gray and the texture feels very expensive. i was specifically looking for blackout curtains because I work until midnight and was losing sleep from the sunlight coming through my blinds early in the morning. These curtains have changed my life. I sleep in every morning now until the alarm goes off. I would recommend these to anyone and everyone!

I thought this was a bit pricey for half price drapes, but ordered it anyway because I needed something for my son's room and couldn't find what I was looking for in stores. This is beautiful, high quality, and really works for room darkening!

Curtains are attractive and the fabric is well-made and extremely soft. The lining could stand to be a little thicker but this is my first experience buying lined curtains and I think they are what you will expect for most drapes that offer black-out lining. They certainly do the job and offer better filtering of light (some obviously peeks through the top and it's not PITCH BLACK but adequately dark). The grommets are a cool industrial looking touch and color of the fabric was very well represented on the site and is a nice soft silvery light grey. Overall I really like these curtains :D (I'm always surprised by just *how expensive* this kind of thing is, but it's a substantial amount of fabric and seems to a reasonable price based on the other items/quality/colors/sizes I looked at. )

You can buy cheaper curtains, but these are worth the money. I bought two panels and they are made of plush velvet that looks and feels rich. They are well made; the seams are even and the lining is thick. They are very effective as blackout curtains. Not sure about noise reduction because I live on a very quiet street. The only issue is that I have had them up for a few weeks and some of the packing kinks are still visible. I don't really want to get them dry cleaned just to remove the lines so I will wait and see if they fall out.
