1. My partner and I will never agree on how to decorate

2. It will be expensive to decorate

It sure can but it doesn’t have to. The best way to avoid overspending is to make a budget and don’t budget from it. You can buy many items second hand and there may even be furniture / art swapping options in your area. Just make sure that while you’re saving money on some items, you’re will to spend a little more for quality when it matters. For example, you can get great prices on discounted draperies that will last for years to come, but buying a bargain mattress isn’t always worth the savings.

3. I can’t imagine the outcome

Many people have a hard time starting because they can’t imagine how their home will look when it’s decorated. The easiest way to get over this is to just get started. We always suggest beginning with one incredible focal point. It could be a piece of amazing art, a piece of furniture you particularly love, or a pair of stunning silk curtain panels. Then base the rest of your design decisions around that focal point. Remind yourself along the way that you don’t have to get to a point where you’re done decorating. Your home can always be a work in progress.

4. My home is hard to decorate
