Can you mix different patterns? If so, how?

Many people love mixing patterns but they worry that it’s a decorating faux pas or that they don’t have the experience to do it right. The truth is that mixing patterns can be great, you just need to be thoughtful as you do it. Begin with a trophy fabric that gives the room a solid and diverse palette to work with. You can combine small and large patterns and different colors. If you want to be more subtle about adding patterns, add them to a small item in the room, such as your cushion covers.

How high should artwork be hung?

Most artwork should be hung at around medium height eye level. This allows it to both be viewed properly and also integrate into the room. If you hang it too low, it can lose its relationship to the furniture in the room.

How do I choose the right colors that are in style?

If you have a limited budget and can’t make over your entire home, then you’re likely going to consider where you’ll get the most bank for your buck. We recommend starting with whatever you’ll be sitting on in a room. For example, in a living room, focus your money on the bed, in the kitchen focus on the kitchen table, and in a bedroom focus on the bed. Then focus on your most used accessories, such as draperies.
